Atlanta Preschool Speech Therapy (On-Site)

Kendrick Speech Therapy, LLC is a traveling SLP business that offers Atlanta Preschool Speech Therapy and Pediatric Speech Therapy for children ages 2-12+ in the Buckhead, Decatur, Brookhaven, and Druid Hills areas.

A young girl with curly hair and a checkered dress looks surprised as a teacher or caregiver shows her flashcards with the letter 'P' on them in a classroom setting.

Driven by parents’ request

Most preschools allow private Speech Pathologists to provide speech therapy during the school day, in response to a parent's request. Since I currently work at other preschools in Atlanta, I already have specific background checks and standard preschool protocols for entry into preschool facilities. However, every preschool is different, and I will provide any information your preschool needs.

Benefits for Preschool Speech Therapy Atlanta - On-Site

1. No Waitlist -

  • Being able to start speech therapy right away means your child can begin making progress and not fall further behind peers while waiting to get into a speech clinic or hospital.

  • Early intervention occurs during a child’s most critical years, ages birth to three and/or birth to five, which research shows significantly reduces the need for later intervention and special education services.

2. Most Atlanta Speech Clinics and Programs are full and have families waiting for Months

  • For example, currently, 8 out of 9 pediatric speech clinics in Decatur have active waitlists, and young children often wait 2-6+ months to start speech therapy, a delay that occurs during the most critical early years of speech and language development.

  • Several Speech Clinics, Speech Outpatient Programs, and Hospitals:

  • Often feel less personable, can be overcrowded with too many kids at once, do not involve parents, and have them wait in the lobby.

  • Exposes your child to additional children who may be sick and carrying contagious viruses

  • You are not given the option to choose your child’s speech therapist; one is chosen for you. It is often done by office staff who assign a speech therapist based on availability, type, and need, to find the best match for your child.

  • Stuck following strict clinic policies (i.e., “have to pay full cost of therapy if you're 10+ minutes late,” lose your spot if you miss 3 or more sessions, unless you have medical proof)

  • It's for-profit big business with the main purpose of making money, which often takes precedence over your child’s services if that becomes an issue.

3. Therapy Happens During Preschool/Daycare Hours — No Travel, No Missed Work, No Traffic

  • Children receive services during the school day in a safe, comfortable environment, making speech therapy convenient for busy families.

  • Also, the SLP can directly consult with the student’s teachers, help them understand the student's speech and language struggles, and explain how they can naturally support the student in the classroom.

4. Better Carryover Through Collaboration With Teachers

  • On-site therapy allows for natural collaboration with teachers, helps target skills outside of speech therapy, aids generalization, and leads to faster progress.

5. Earlier Identification = Better Long-Term Outcomes

  • With on-site access to screenings and early intervention, children get support during their most critical years of language development (ages 2–6), leading to faster progress and reduced long-term needs.

6. A Value-Add That Strengthens Your Preschool

  • On-site speech services increase family satisfaction, support children's development, and help your school stand out—at no cost or extra administrative work for your staff.

7. Options for Payment and Reimbursement

  • Kendrick Speech Therapy, LLC can provide parents with a "Superbill" to submit to their insurance for a partial reimbursement, or an invoice to submit to an FSA/HSA plan for a full reimbursement of speech therapy services (as long as you have adequate funds on your card).
